PlayPlace

Play Place offers parents and carers an opportunity for time together with their children and each other. Activities include playtime, singing, craft and morning tea. Held every Thursday during school terms from 9:30 to 11:30am in the Ministry Centre. Volunteer carers organise toys, stories, food and craft.

Cost - $3 per family.

What happens?

9:30am - Registration and informal play

  • All come together on the mat/chairs for introductions, news, singing, dancing, story time and information about upcoming events etc. It would be appreciated if everyone could gather together for this time of listening quietly and participating.
  • A time of thanks for our food - a children's Grace before morning tea.
  • Morning Tea - outside/inside depending on the weather.
  • Craft activity - parents are encouraged to help their child/children in this "fun" time. Carers are available to assist with mums/dads who have two children or more!

11:30am - Packing up and home.

As a participant we hope you are happy to:

  • be fully responsible for your child/children
  • participate with your child/children.  It is an opportunity for you to interact with them and to have some "quality time."
  • wear your name tag - this helps the carers and the new mums/dads.
help in packing up, replacing toys in the labelled containers
  • have your child wear a hat
  • have fun with your child/children and us
  • offer any suggestions you may have to assist us in making Play Place a happy, caring, Christian environment.
